The standard guidance is to depart 2.5–3 hours before sunset, allowing time to reach the anchorage, settle, and experience the full transition rather than only the final minutes.

Weather: Cannes enjoys more than 300 sunny days per year. Cloud cover at sunset is rare but possible. If conditions are unfavourable on the day of your charter, we discuss the options — rescheduling where possible, or adjusting the itinerary to make the most of the conditions. Your skipper makes the final call on what is possible safely.
